Why must we and our elected government put up with all these ignorant talks?

http://hornbillunleashed.wordpress.com/2011/05/24/18565/#more-18565

Sabah & Sarawak should be excluded from this so-called 'social contract' and the 'generosity' of certain group in the country.

What about our safeguard with the '20-point agreement' and the '18-point agreement' for Sarawakian? Had or Have they (the Semenanjung People) been honouring it fully?

The people of the semenanjung should have left all their unhappiness and bad history behind, and not to unnecessarily burden us with it as it's very unfair for us to shoulder for something not our doing. They can keep it for themselves but not passing it to us.

If our forefather during the time of the independence negotiation had heard of this type of saying; they would have had told these idiots to get out of our land and forgot about the idea of forming Malaysia.

I think it's time that our state government to take a stand on this matter and making sure that this sort of twisted thinking and self-made belief will not be a part of the 1Malaysia currently championed by PM Najib's government.

Equally important, our federal government and their coalition partners ought to declare that they will subscribed solely to the constitution, and not any transient acts outside of the constitution.

Utusan tells BN to ignore Chinese vote after Sarawak polls - The Malaysian Insider

Utusan tells BN to ignore Chinese vote after Sarawak polls - The Malaysian Insider

I hope that the Utusan Editor would instead calling the government to step up the effort of 1Malaysia to educate all the citizens of the land to unite and focus on one thing - to achieve advance country and high income for all in the near future.

But, regrettably, he chose to go for the negative option, that is to isolate the community which went against the government in the election.

I wonder if he understands what democracy, freedom of expression, and minority rights are all about.

Utusan is the most influential voice of UMNO and of the Malay community, being a media of such magnitude, it should be promoting the 1Malaysia spirit of inclusiveness than exclusiveness.

They should approach the urban voters by telling the majority community what these urbanites want and the advantages of going along with the urbanites than promoting 'marginalization' and more misunderstandings between the urbanites and the rest of the country.

They (Utusan) shouldn't behave like this simply because the urban people voted against the government.

Their mentality and attitude are very much undesired especially when UMNO-led BN has been trying relentlessly to unite the people of Malaysia for the future benefits of the nation.

What Utusan Editor is doing is to sabotage it instead of helping the government.

It's the priority on governance, and not the originality of 1Malaysia

http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v5/newsgeneral.php?id=551552

PM Najib shouldn't be too concerning on the originality of the 1Malaysia concept, what's important to us as citizen is that we want good governance. A government that can unite all the people of Malaysia under a fair & just policies of governance, caring for our welfare, and deliver what a good government should.

I'm still not quite understand the rational behind all these fuss from the opposition about the originality of the campaign except that it's about the so-called Zionist Israel.

On foreigner to be involved in the civil service (or governance?), I hope that we will not be too liberated to allow foreigner to become our Prime Minister in the near future. It's not impossible if the Sabahan PTI is not resolved, by then technically some of these PTIs become Malaysian, they are eligible to run for the UMNO presidency. I hope embracing the PTI into Malaysian is not part of the 1Malaysia plan and spirit.

The day will come when UMNO leaders keep saying publicly the word 'Malaysian' than the word 'Malay'. UMNO leadership shall be the deciding factor in the direction of future Malaysia.

The fact that the 1malaysia created by the so-called consultant merely a coincidence that Israel had something similar years ago. There's nothing wrong to copy the idea and concept so long as it's beneficial to us and without the legal liabilities and violation of international laws.

If BN government could really carry out the 1Malaysia in reality, and successfully, then the next Nobel prize winner may be our PM Najib.

Just wait and see.

I'm proud to be a Chinese-Malaysian, and nothing more!

Najib: I am proud to be Malay but I can still relate to others
By TEH ENG HOCK (e-mail: enghock@thestar.com.my)
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/4/3/nation/5990033&sec=nation

Well, for me, I'm a Chinese but I'm proud to be a Malaysian. I'm born a Chinese-Malaysian, and I'll die a Chinese-Malaysian; unless my country doesn't want me.

I can relate to others only if the country and its administrator treat me equally, without discrimination and disrespect in all fields of the society.

I accept with open-heart the plurality of our society - multi-racial and multi-religion, and vow to build a new Malaysia together with all the ethnicity.

I'll share my culture values and systems to any ethnicity without reservation as I believe in sharing and exchange for the betterment of our society, a new Malaysia culture or 1Malaysia culture will be deemed 'perfect'.

I want to help the needy groups regardless of their ethnicity, and I only see them as another human being, and not their colours or descendant.

I don't see them (other races) as a threat to me or my 'group', rather I see them as my fellow Malaysian who should be living or growing up equally, deserving mutual help from one another, and as Malaysian, we only responsible to Malaysia, nothing but Malaysia.

For those Malaysian who have strong sense of its origin, I respect wholeheartedly their eagerness to keep their 'belongings' without reservation as it's the right thing to do to preserve its root and identity. But, there should not be any favoritism, or causing anxiety, among all the other Malaysian at the expense of the ethnics as it had happened numerous times in the history since independence.

The time has now arrived that we have to make sure that favouritism meant to help the disadvantageous is not being abused by some unscrupulous quarters to advance masses of benefits at the country's wealth, resources, and our 'misfortunes'.

The arrival of 1Malaysia, and its derivative - the New Economic Model (NEM), is designed to overcome the shortfalls of the old system of New Economic Policy (NEP) started in 1970.

The 1Malaysia in its true sense should not harbour the doctrine of 'Master-Slave' or 'ketuanan something' as there shouldn't be anyone borne to be master of some Malaysian in the first place, but merely as an ordinary Malaysian who might one day rise to the top to lead.

But all these honours and respects must be earned through proper steps as they must show to me that they are just like me, has to work harder appropriately and not through the special privileges or handicaps accorded to them dating back to the early years of independence which is 53 years ago!

It's really funny that just when I was about to have forgotten my root and origin, and is in the midst of assimilating into the 1Malaysia, some of my fellow Malaysian could not wait to remind me of my origin and showing their non-acceptance of my status; why?
